Finished walking around Lake Okeechobee today. I wanted to post a nice picture of the lake for you, but it seems all you can see from this side is marsh.
I walked two miles out of my way to get this one, having been informed that this location afforded the best view of the lake. Disappointing, but there it is.
Incidentally, as of today I've walked over 300 miles.
Next I'll be working my way up the Kissimmee river toward Orlando.

hey. great work so far. 300miles! I remember that lake having terrible mosquitos at evening time and rouge fog storms. And lots of cool birds to look at. Glad your still making your way on the trail. happy trails.
I am sure you already know this but it is worth repeating! Your journey is inspirimg and flippin awesome at the same time! Next time you stop, pat yourself on the back, smile, and realize that no one, and I mean NO ONE, did this for you. THIS is all you buddy, and YOU ROCK!
Yeah, mosquitoes are worse than the Everglades. I took to sealing myself in my tent every evening for an hour or so at sunset. When's yoyr next bike journey?
There's nothing I can say but :-)
Bike journeys will have to wait. I am on my way to the west coast for another season of tree planting. But I have some big plans for when Im free of work that involves a bike and many miles. Its great hearing from you.
